Patterned and pretty,
yellow and blue,
looking over the fabric at you.

Tapping away
at your sewing machine,
careful fingers
keep stitches clean.

One day I'll learn
to stitch and to sew
'cause now it's a skill
that I don't yet quite know.

One day you'll teach me
One day I'll dream
You'll teach me to tap
on your sewing machine.
