My Regrets
If
If I had taken a right instead of a left,
I would still be heir to watch the sunset.
If I wasn't gossiping on the phone while driving,
I would still be heir to take care of my kids.
If I playing my music to the defining level,
I would still be heir to celebrate my 10 anniversary
If I only looked before I crossed the tracks,
I would still be heir to help pay the bills.
If my memoirs where in the correct position,
I would still be heir to celebrate my mothers 76 birthday
If I was wearing my seatbelt,
I would still be heir to go to church every Sunday.
If I wasn't sick,
I would still be heir to curse god for making me go to the store.
If I wasn't going 60 when I was supposed to be going 25
I would still be heir to have thrills in my life.
If, If, If only I could go back in time and fix my wrongs.
I wouldn't be here talking to my dead relatives.
If, is all I can ask my shelf as I look back to that dark and gloomy day.
