"Recognize my life, ridicule my fight, give me fuel for the fire burnin' when I yearn these lights"

Back to my childhood on the back of a bike
Rejuvenating my spirit and ridding me of spite
Had a destination in mind but sometimes it doesn’t matter
Have you ever not known where you’d end up?
In a world so full of injustice, so corrupt
But I swallowed my fears and hopped on the seat
Trying to enjoy the euphoria while being discreet
If I could, how I would have screamed!
Wind caressing me gently, became one with the breeze
I would have beckoned to others, try this, you must!
That bike and I had a passionate lust
But I couldn’t let myself let go of my conditioning
I just enjoyed the ride with my tires full out spinning
I didn’t sweat and I didn’t fall off
It seems that one day my hard work will pay off
But until then I ride the bike of life
I’m in control, cutting through the wind like a knife
I smiled at other passer bys, never reached out or questioned their cries
I just stuck to my path and prepared for adjustments
Tickled by the thought I had no one to run with
Maybe next time I’ll reach out and have fun
But my journey in the driver’s seat has just begun
Learned you can change your habits with tiny steps
So I’ll approach them with sincerity and not dwell on regrets

This piece represents to me that after falling off my "bike of life" I realized I had to get back on and take control, this is actually about my first time enjoying a bike ride in a while, but when I started writing I linked it to my life
