That's Way I Am!
Looking through my memories and victories
Referring to them rubbish, history
Just thinking about what I could’ve been, should’ve been
Realizing where my originality began and end
My friends, I don’t know
Felt like all along I was all alone
Somebody tapped my shoulder
It woke me up
I was livid, finally had enough
Of the pretending, the silence
Lord, knows I lost my mind then
Everything was confusing
Different shapes
It took me enough to love anything to learn to hate
Temporary happiness taken away
Discomfort took its place
Wanted to be different
Ended up the same
Dreamed about being the star of the show
But shyly hid behind the scenes
That’s the way I am
It’s a rebirth, I sense the new me
Vowed to do things differently
Promised myself
Did what I had to do
Soon I learned things I know I never knew
Became a different person
That’s the way I am
