Grandma Marry Nettles
She was always there when I was feeling down
When I came to visit it would make her smile
Sitting on the couch watching soaps on TV, who would have ever known Marry Nettles would leave me.
I wanted her here for a lot of things graduation, dinner parties, even one day to see my wedding ring. I know one day the news would come, when I found out it felt as if I’ve been beaten with a gun.
I don’t want to get emotional but the pain is still there, I can’t see her, touch her or hold her hand... I just want one more day to spend with Marry Nettles to tell her how much she means over and over again...
