Broken
Aren't we Broken,
You and I?

For,
Doesn't that Anger
Spread cracks
Along that Mask of yours?

As
My own Fear, and Anger
Erode, and widen the cracks
on my own Mask.

Shattering,
Aren't we Shattering,
You and I?

Your Mask
Is rotten through
and It grows more
and more Thin with every
Burst of Anger
Sliver of Irritation
Murmur of Depression
and Burden of Stress

My Mask
Is transparent as Glass
And it only grows more Clear with
Every Tear of sadness
Every Cry of Loneliness
Every Scream of Pain.

Both of our Masks
Will then
Fade away
Will Crumble
Until,
We will have to Face
Our True
Selves

The Masks(Both Yours, and Mine.)
Will laugh at our foolishness
As they cut into our Skin

And spread their
Poison, into our innermost
Selves.

Then we will
Wither, and Die
As our souls Blacken
And crumble into Dust.

And All the while,
Our Masks will Laugh
And Say,"It was Meant to be."
As they Dance upon our
Husks.
