moshing, for those of us just starting out
please keep in mind that this is an activity
based on respect and trust. if you are not respectful
or trustworthy, you should not be in a
pit. if somebody is crowdsurfing,
you hold them up and pass them forward.
if somebody falls, help them up
and make sure they are alright.
if you hit somebody,
apologize,
and if you get hit, an apology means that
you forget it ever happened.
don't jump on people who are
smaller than you. always give somebody a leg
up if they ask for one.
you will probably lose a shoe while crowdsurfing.
do not ever try to "cop a feel"
in the pit. ever. that will get you beat up
but if you're abusing others, then you
probably deserve it anyway.
if someone wants to get out of the
pit, get them out right away.
do not step on people.
let go of everything. inhale the beauty and
exhale black thoughts and hate.
let the music vibrate on your tongue. reach
your hands toward the stage.
be sweaty.
be wild and exhilarated and never, ever
forget to take this home with you at the end of the night.
