All I here is Negativity
I close my eyes,
I’m pushing thru it all
To my surprise,
I refuse to quit
Try not to cry,
Preserver is what I know
So I’m gone try,
My goals are never normal
There supersized,
I see the truth
Thru all the lies,
I shoot for the stars
So they DESPISE,
I’m not a cat
Don’t have 9 lives,
I choose my own destiny
I decide,
I’m gone be the best
When I open my eyes!

The author's comments:
“Destiny” by: Destiny H showed nice diction. The words she used made the meaning more visible .Also the words gave more dept to the poem. For example when the speaker says “My goals are never normal there supersized”. She lets the audience know that she’s unique and so are her goals. The fact that she rhymed made it more Interesting and complex.
