Looking through my head, you can see my dream.
Writing until my hand hurt so I can achieve.
Trying to stand out and walk my own road.
Since I was young until now that’s what I’ve been told.

Getting into college is one my hopes.
But we’ll going to complain when having to take notes.
Maintaining 3.0 and higher is what gpa I need to get.
All the things I’ve learned in grade school I’ll never forget.

Changing year after year is what made me.
Wanting to strive for more you can’t be lazy.
Trying to bring your grades up to a C to an A.
How you going to do that?
STUDY!

P.s
Everyone has enemies that try to stop you from moving on,
But in order to stop them you have to prove them wrong.

The decisions i made as a poet is that, i knew my poem was gone have to rhyme. I also, had the same type of stanza going on for all the sections. They all related to my future and how i was going to succeed it. My mentor poem helped me out because it gave me clearer example of more ideas to use while writing my poem. Like for example, description, stanzas, line length etc. I believe my poem has been impacted because it encourage me to keep trying my best. I've always liked poetry since i was little so it kind of inspired me to write more.
