Stepping Into the Box
Heel step toe,
Across the stage I go,
As I watch my dance videos on camera,
From Modern Ballet Studio,
Face full of makeup and a pretty dress to follow.
White, pink, blue, filled with stuffing,
The water shooting fast out the hole,
Trying to aim in nothing but the tiny hole,
When the water stopped,
That’s when I received my hello kitty bear,
Filled with lots of white, fluffy, stuffing.
Lanier, number 16 is the model I have,
After winning the championship game,
Face full of sweat,
Body filled with excitement,
When I received my special artifact.
I’ve been asking for one for a long time,
But the one I received meant so much more,
It’s a gold cross,
That shines sparkly across my neck,
Not just any cross,
A cross my uncle gave me before he passed.
Hanging across my neck,
Was a heavy medal,
A medal I received,
After winning the season game,
After putting in so much hard work,
I got just what I earned.
