Neighborhood Future
I imagine cats, dogs, cars
Beautiful trees like the watery green grass
Neighborhood filled with Lil bicycles and ice cream trucks
Hartwell street lover’s paradise
Kids wrestle but play everyday
Pops came an visit never left again
Every time I step out the house
Fresh smell of burnt wood
Grandma took care of a man
Mother had passed away
Granddaddy always looks out
Senior citizens call police
But never shows
Do they care?
