holding on to the pass
I miss barbeques at the beach,
While my cousin’s swim in the water,
Me and my sister grew two inches each,
While my cousin’s grew even taller,
I miss the days I would sit on the porch,
I let my cousin’s play with fire,
He was such a dare devil,
That’s why they always called him rider,
I miss the family get-togethers,
When we all played spades,
While my cousin’s were in the backroom soon to catch AIDs,
I miss playing outside in the dirt,
While my mom stayed inside,
Now-a-days all my mom do is lurk,
While my grandma stands aside,
God do I miss those days while they slowly pass,
As the memory fades I wish it would last.
