There are beautiful
Subtle moments that I miss.

Looking up to him
He’s such a beautiful person.

Holding hands
His skin
Like chocolate.

Pancakes
And double cheeseburgers
With bacon.

No more
watching him sleep.

No more
Holding hands.

No more
Pancakes
And double cheeseburgers
With bacon.

No more
Being close.

These memories
Now I only dream
Will happen again soon.

Just wishing
Today would be the day
He comes back to me.

For me to
Look up to him.

For us to
Hold hands.

For us to
Be close.

For our
Pancakes
And double cheeseburgers
With bacon.

For our love.

I’m holding on to the dream
Of the future
And the memory
Of the past.

It comes from my relationship. My boyfriend had to move out of the city but before he moved we went out to eat. I got pancakes and he got a double cheeseburger with bacon.
