For those that come before and after
Redemption won through blood and tears
Entire chapters of history obscured by stains of inhumanity
Empty spaces in hearts and minds, for those we fight
Dawn approaches and with it a better tomorrow
Open our eyes to past mistakes, to forge a better tomorrow
Many hope and pray for a simple word for whose fight will never be simple
