Betrayal
Betrayal
 When you trust someone
 And they destroy it

 A stab in the back
 Slashes up the spine
 Blood pools around
The gruesome killer is not punished

“I opened up, and you judged me!”
“You point out my flaws everyday!”
“Some days, I wish you were dead.”
 “You. Hit. Me.”

The alcohol splashes from the destroyed bottle
 You drop the match
 I catch on fire
 You just watch me burn

 “I thought you could change!”
 “You promised to do better!”
 “Everyone said you were trouble!”
 “You said you loved me!”

The hospital asks for my name
 I wish I had amnesia
 Then I could forget you
The ask how I got burned

 “Just another pretty face, right?”
 “Blonde isn’t even your type!”
“Did she get down on her knees and beg?”
 “She was younger than me!”

For once, I’m glad my parents are dead
Although having flowers would be nice
I see nurses roll dozens down the hall
Can you be bothered to even send one?

“I can’t wait for two hours, again!”
“Lame excuses justify your actions to yourself.”
“Not one phone call when they died!”
“You’ve never been there for me!”

Nurses bring me the worst news
 I will recover
And so will my unborn baby
 I cry myself to sleep

“I never wanted a permanent thing.”
 “You’re such a manipulative bastard!”
 “Downward spirals is your disease.”
 “You caused everything!”

 I am released after months
The first thing you notice is my stomach
I tell you the demon spawn is yours
Your first reaction is utter shock

Then the eyes turn dark, and black
You seem to be taken over
 Amazement to murder
 You pick up a knife

“You can’t get away from me now, princess!”
 “You’re quite the fighter.”
“And I was starting to like you.”
“You want to know what happened to the girl before you?”

 The knife slashes her throat
He drops her and the knife at the same time
His eyes change from black to blue
He walks over to the full body mirror

 “What did you do?!”
“What was best for both of us.”
 “You shouldn’t have killed her!”
 “She was in our way.”

He never meant a single thing
 Every hit wasn’t voluntary
 All the spiteful words unintended
It was all the inner demon

 “I love her!”
 “You can’t feel love.”
“You’re the one that made her hate me!”
“Deep down, you enjoyed hitting her.”

He went over to the girl
 His first kiss to her
 Was a kiss of death
Her stood back up with the knife

 “I’m not leaving her.”
“Even though she never knew how much I loved her.”
“If you want my body so bad, you can have it.”
“Try using it without a heart.”
