The storm clouds gather
Black as ink
The lightning shatters the sky
Within a wink
The thunder booms
With wicked intent
The rain pelts down
Never to relent
The wind starts to scream
As if crying out
And then its all over
And the stars come out
They wink and they blink
And they shine so bright
And you couldn't have wished
For a more beautiful night
