Someday
I light a candle in the heart of the night, the flames dancing across my face like spirits. I think back on the time we had together as I drag the pen down the page for the first time. I remember the time at the creek, where you almost fell in while on our adventures. Star gazing after catching lightning in the midnight sky. The first time hopping onto your bike, where you just laughed at my expression. Just being kids because we thought we had forever. I know you are gone now, and we may never meet up again, but I will continue to write these letters in hopes that you shall see them someday. These memories will be mine forever, and I hope that someday we will meet again in the blinding, white light.
