Lost to Music
I am the one who suffers alone.
I am the one who sits in the shadows.
Outspoken by others
Left in the dark
Never happy when alone
Never happy when at home
Fighting, questions, thoughts are all I hear.
I feel like something's missing, something to help fill the spaces.
No more monotone days are coming my way
Because a light can be seen
through the music about sounds.
Emotions poured out into a catchy song
The bassline becomes my heartbeat to break the silence, and the lyrics my life's story.
Repeat again and again just to find relief
But none is found until everything fades away.
And visions of the future fill my head
A hopeful, happy place that seems out in space.
And the next time you come around, I'll be the one whose lost to music.
