Shine Your Starlight
My teardrops fall into the water, glitter like crystals in the sky,
Until now, up till now, I never knew how to fly.
I merely glimpsed down at life, while stretching my arms out hopelessly,
from behind the branches where i'd hide,
I never thought it would be me.
But now you're flying up,
so high,
soaring like a shooting star with all your might.
You've never felt so alive,
You're a dazzling star, streaking rays of warmth across the night
Burst with shine,
don't look down, they're waiting for your light to die,
for your happiness to burn out and cry
Just keep shooting up and keep your head held high,
keep flying straight north out of here, until
the sun starts its rise.
Your crystal tail of light dims out it's light, and starts to swoop,
then dance on the water's edge, tiptoe on by.
I'll take your hand, we won't ever stop our flight,
nothing can ever be impossible,
with you by my side.
