At a glance of its cold black eyes you would be paralyzed,

any longer and you'll come to know the true meaning of fear.

A flick of its tail can send cities crumbling and raise plague throughout the land.

Despite this,
some welcome it with open arms,
stroking its withering fur until their fingers turn to bone,

then dust.

Letting themselves be dissolved into nothing by their cruel master until the light leaves their eyes all for the fact that where there is death there is life-

in what form only those who have experienced it or believe know

- it lives in the cold, bone white fur of its reaping form, settled into the very marrow of this wild creature as important as the breath entering and leaving your lungs.

Just a spark, but as we all know, even a spark can start the most magnificent of fires.
