healthy, green neck, armored with thorns.
Up your neck, to your chin
does he look, only to find
your face blending in with the sky
The bird peers down to you
light, smiling face, floating above the ground.
Bright against the stone grey path
the wind makes you bow and dance
you don't mind, you just want the sun.
I see you through the divide
for all that you are.
You are the blue rose
that has caught my eye
bringing wonder and joy to
my otherwise dreary life...
