Broken angels
Why did they choose you?
To tear you down that way
 What did they do...
But I let you fade away

Your light, it burnt so bright
 Your eyes bore into mine
Your life was all a fright
Your nightmare relived; you weren't fine

The way that he touched you
 Dark cold hands; pressing deep
 The blade you confided in;
The way your life affects me; deep

 They broke you down
And I could pick up the pieces
 Heart scattered;everywhere, around
Why can't I straighten out the creases...

I want to stop the sorrow
 Soak up your blood
 Your days I would borrow
 Make the happiness flood

 But now your my angel
 As beautiful as the stars
 Down you stare at me
Now you can heal all your scars...
