Wouldbe Anniversary
Have a Happy Would've Been, I know at least I will.
Let's drink a toast five miles apart and happily let's kill
Those memories, you know, the ones that only make us hurt.
Let's paint the town in red tonight, dear,
tear the letters, break the frames,
Really live it up tonight and celebrate our shame,
And cry and sob until we laugh at our own brokenness.
Because as lovely as we seem, well, at least, I'M a mess.
And let us pledge, my darling, our undying affectation.
Repeat the things we thought we meant, before the realization
That--
Well I forget just what it was, but it must've been important.
So here's to you, and here's to me,
*Ching ching* cheers, on our Anniversary.
