All I hear are lies. All I sense is fear.
You say we are one. You say we are together.
Lies.
We are not one. We are not in solidarity.

Some say our generation is the future.
You say we will shape our government. You say we will create a new and improved society.
Lies.
We are not one. We are not in solidarity.

We are elderly yet young. The just born are seconds old and the future of this world.
This generation has already ended. We have already been exposed, poisoned, and manipulated.
Reality.
We are not one. We are not in solidarity.

We have an impact. Some question the extension.
Some may say it is little. Some may say it is large.
Reality.
We are not one. We are not in solidarity.

However, the size of the impact does not matter.
One is one more inspired. All together one can be multiplied to make a million.
Change?
We are not one. We are not in solidarity.

Everyone can make a difference.
We cannot revolutionize this world until everyone is united.
Change?
We are not one. We are not in solidarity.

What inspired this poem? My peers in one of my classes. 2 out of 20 seniors thought they could change the world and make it a better place.
