Starry Night
The air tasted of crisp freedom,
Rushing through my veins.
Was there ever a night so lovely and bright,
Filled with watercolors otherwise unbeknownst to my human eye?
I sit, unthinking the thoughts that swallow me whole
In this sky I stole from the world,
Just for a night.
I listen to this night,
She tells me things beyond belief.
This sky, as small as the ocean, as giant as a grain of rice,
Shows me a darkness that shines through me,
Out of my control.
Somewhere something great was happening-
Maybe-
But here, nothing at all.
