Little Girl
Dark, rich brown hair
and a face spotted with freckles-
You've always been embarrassed of those dimples
Four foot tall, and a weak, small frame
Little girl you should never be ashamed
Sun-kissed skin and hazel eyes
Little girl, there are so many things you don't fully realize
Your favorite color used to be blue
Now it makes you sick,
reminds you of the things he used to do
Bouncy curls and heart shaped face
You were wearing your favorite dress,
the one covered in lace
Pink cupcakes for your birthday...
Now your life has suddenly changed. Nobody ever planned for your life to turn out this way
Little girl, Little girl
Don't loose that smile
You always tried your best to please,
I guess you could say you went the extra mile
The word "innocent" has no meaning now, people tell you to move on and you ask, "how?"
Don't let tears fill up those eyes
Know that you will always be a prize
It hurts to hear the word "beautiful", doesn't it?
How come nobody ever picked up on the hints?
Was there anything wrong?
Something you said, did?
What would you wish for if you could make one wish?
Little girl, Little girl
Don't take the blame
It wasn't your fault, at all,
in any way
Perhaps you might never be able to forget it
But his memory will only haunt you if you let it
Don't hide the scars, don't cover the bruises
Don't keep this to yourself, tell someone-
make sure he looses
Little girl, Little girl
Don't ever be ashamed
Little girl Little girl
Don't you dare take the blame
The sun will come out, have hope in the new day
Little girl don't loose that precious laugh
Let go of those dark memories you still have
One day, you might feel as though you have to ask:
"What life is there to live?"
"He took so much, what do I have left?"
Little girl, Little girl
You have your perfect self
What he did doesn't undermine your value, your life's treasure and powerful wealth
Little girl, Little girl
there are others that feel the same
Don't you ever, ever be ashamed
