Cut out my heart
You’ll find it hollow
with no screams of joy
or echoes that follow
Take out my cheeks
They are bitter with tears
The ones that have streamed down
over the years
Remove my eyes
which stare without glow
They are young in age
yet seen more than you know
Untie my veins
and pull me apart
I have been undone
from the very start
