Bring me sunset in a cup,
Bring me the stars on a silver platter.
Lasso the moon and pull it tight,
But take care that it does not shatter.

You and I have shared sweet dreams,
Along with many sleepless nights,
The skyscraping mountains and babbling streams,
The evil henchmen and violent fights.

Upon awakening, you will always be there,
Till the end and from the start,
You are the one that really cares,
You and I, pillow, till death do us part.

Based off of the first line of Emily Dickenson's "Bring Me Sunset in a Cup". Assigned as a writing prompt, then posted due to excessive encouragement from my teacher.
