I wait here,
Sitting in an uncomfortable plastic school chair,
Waiting,
I search and dig through my brain,
For any hint,
And slight bit,
Of something beautiful and lovely,
An idea that soars above the rest,
It's precious,
Melodic,
Beauty,
Glistening through the darkness,
The clouds of other ideas that plague my mind,
Silly little thoughts that will surely get me nowhere,
I sit in wait for an idea that I could show to the world,
Not only show the world,
But show them with an over abundance of pride,
I wait and look about waiting,
Many more ideas come from the posters and maps around the chilled room,
None of them are melodic or precious,
None like what I am looking for,
Where will it come from,
A place to start,
I look out the small rectangular window,
Looking for some thought in the form of bright sunshine,
Or the flight of brightly colored creatures,
But alas,
The sky is plagued with grey-blue clouds,
The tears of which trickle from the sky,
Falling into splashing puddles on the steaming concrete,
The greenish yellow leaves of the nearly dead trees drip with an unquneching liquid,
Flutter,
Nearly ripping from their thin stems,
In the harsh wind,
I am lost for inspiration,
Lost for something beautiful,
I have no more ideas as to where to find ideas,
But wait,
There,
The most lovely thing I have seen,
There is such a nice thing right there,
An accidental look back out of the sad little window,
Back out at the sad outdoors,
But there,
In the middle of a small patch of grass between a crack in the concrete,
The most lovely little red daisy,
With the most perfect creases in each petal,
The brightest yellow in the middle of the flower,
The most vivid red on the petals,
The clearest green stem,
A little stream of sunlight set upon this perfect little flower,
This,
Is by far,
The most profound little flower,
I have ever seen.
