Reincarnation
Maybe life is simply preparation.
Maybe in death we emerge,
from our warm cocoons.
Memories of our previous existence,
repeated, jarring technicolor.
Free from our frail ties,
unbound from our temporary home.
In death we will fly,
In our fragile, new bodies,
into the never ending sky,
into the life that patiently awaits us.
