In my dreams all I can see,
are your sweet blue eyes staring back at me.
I had hoped and I had dreamed that forever we would be,
but then again this is reality.
It was perfect,
you were sweet,
the weeks went by and it felt as if we were in a movie.
Then again,
time went by and day by day things began to change.
It just didn’t seem right, everything wasn’t the same,
and for the first time I felt myself drifting away.
Things got so complicated,
my mind became a maze,
being with you had completely trapped me in a daze.
I didn’t know who I was anymore,
I couldn’t understand what I had done,
the things I had said.
Thankfully soon enough I broke through the haze and broke it off with you.
I thought it was the right choice, I didn’t know it would be such a huge mistake.
Still months later I am heartbroken,
crying and regretting the day I had let you go.
Here I am missing you,
spending all of my day thinking of you.
All I have now are those last memories spent together.
Now I know,
things like this never last forever.
