In Love
He's never been in love,
And I think that's an awful shame.
It just seems a crime of nature,
To not feel an overwhelming sense of happiness from one person.
To not immediately smile,
When they do.
For your heart strings to not be pulled,
When they break down in front of you.
To not be overcome with emotion,
When they utter words of love for the first time.
Life is like drowning,
And love is that one person who brings you back up to the surface.
But then again,
I'm glad he hasn't been in love.
Because now I think,
He's the one I've been waiting for all along.
