Letting Go
have you ever had
or just touched
,grasped
that sense of addiction
the type of addiction
that is so painful
life grasping rope
a rope of fire
flames, smoke,burn
that spur your skin
but you grasp continuosuly
just to feel something?
cause you persuade
yourself,now and then
this is what i need
what makes me "ME"?
its pain,cruel pain
delicious, aching pain
that addicting burn
you feel everyday
that relapse an addict
has when in recovery
that burning itch to scratch
in your brain
so pleasureable to latch onto
but ever so painfulafter
when you relize...
its killling you from within
this rope you grasp
that burning sensation
when you have nothing
but SPace inside of you'
that you latch on
every day just to
fill that empty space
you question your exisitence
your existence is meaning
something bigger than itself?
or is it self meaning
something bigger
than your very
aching, burning existence
something snaps
that snap in your brain
twigs your stem
your latch to that rope,
it ceases, loosens
that burning bond ceases to exist
youve freed it from
your aching gut
youve let it go
the burn you feel
it ceases to exist
you now ask yourself
"what now"?
what is there to feel?
emptiness? solarity?
this word called "courage"
it leeks from my thoghts
it stems from the fears
the demons that tempt me
letting go.thats the way out
letting go must be the key
it twists and turns that lock
the lock to the bars
youve created
inside of your mind, that
would convince you
this is all?
solitary bars broken
your induvisuality
freed, letting go
thats the key.
