Afraid
I am afraid to uncover my poems
Because the world won't understand their totems.
They would stare at the words
As their minds would fly away like birds.
The world wouldn't say a word,
So my words would never be heard.
They would carry on
And my poem would wait until dawn
To encounter another reader
Who niether,
Wouldn't understand.
