A mothers sin, A child's grief
Fear comes from within
 Pain comes from outsiders
 Hate comes from betrayal

I live with fear of outsiders
Causing me pain, and I hate them
Because of the level of betrayal

Forgiveness is only for the strong
 But given to the weak
Love trying to grow in between

Love burned at the birth of ones hand
Trust lost at the feet of a toddler
Tears dropped at the eyes of a teen

The root of an adult cut by the throat
  The heart struck by grief
 The throat hit by anger

Fear holds on like a scared newborn
Grief pulls at me like tug of war
Guilt clogging my throat of pain

 The 17th is stricken in
 My brain until forever
 I miss you
 I forgive you.
