Bright and peaceful
Heavy and breathless
But weightless and silent
Exhausting and listless
Calming and effortless
Requires breath
That I don’t need.

This was written after going to the pool on a hot summer day, having discovered that I could, at the bottom of a 12 foot pool, walk at least five steps. This is in response for my subconscious longing to be like the frog, and live with both the worlds of water and earth.
