The One With the Black Wings

I sense the sadness lingering in his mind
The unbearable pain binded to his heart
It's a dangerous feeling and my connection to it is as thin as thread
That will abuptly break any instant now
Yet I have a vulnerable attraction and undeniable obsession to his soul
That I'm trying to hold onto
But he crushes my hopes and my dreams
So that I may feel what he endures
I understand why his wings aren't white or pure
I realize that he is the one with the black wings
And that's all he'll ever be
