My First Love Poem
This is my first love poem. I hope this doesn't sound too corny...but I'm only me when I'm with you. I AM IN LOVE...with my room. My candy wrapper, water bottled, most well dressed floor kingdom. A place where anything goes. Where the term "bad idea" doesn't even begin to exist. My room is my own personal Narnia minus that half horse have man thing because well...NO BOYS ALLOWED. I can lay in my hello kitty PJ's and play Temple Run until my thumbs fall off. Where 5 more minutes feels like an eternity. The one place where I always feel safe. Where I feel comfortable enough to turn a word into a poem. When I'm in my room its like everything disappears. The only reality is the shows on my T.V. It's a place where being cool doesn't matter. And I don't mean to brag , but this is where the magic happens. That's right the best knock knock jokes are created right here. I trust my room because its kept all my secrets. Its seen me at my worst and been there for my best. My room is where I figure out who I am while learning who other people are. My room knows who I was,it knows who I am , and knows who I want to be. I guess what I'm trying to say is my room has always been there. It's kind of my best friend. It may not be perfect, but its mine. Its my place and I love it. I know it may be weird that I just wrote a love poem to my room. But its in my room where I learned that it doesn't matter what people think. So if you think I'm in my room too much just that I'm trying to work on myself. That I'm trying to become a better person. In my room I don't have to be perfect I can be the nerd who thinks knock knock jokes are still funny. And that's okay.
