Missing You
I didn't know what missing was until you suddenly left,
I've never had a goodbye that took away my breath.
Crying doesn't happen here,
It was time to say good bye,
But tell me, will you miss me?
Or will you just forget?
I regret all the fights,
Every slamming of the door,
Every time I didn't say I love you,
Let me say it once more.
Your smiles something I'll miss,
Or mine that seemed to stay,
Everyone ounce of happiness please don't take away
Pictures sit around of every memory made.
You took my heart with you,
Why won't you stay?
Missing you is my routine,
Everything reminds me of you.
Moving on is hard
But it’s something I guess I have to do
Every song I hear the words come back to you,
Every time I see your family they act as if they never knew,
A simple “Hi, how are you?”
So as you leave this time,
I want to be angry; I don’t want to be bereaved
But just once more, before you go,
Tell me you won't forget; tell me you'll forgive,
Tell me that you'll miss me too.
