Tiger lilies
Are the remnants of the courageous souls who lived before us
And touchable fire blossoming into our world
For each petal is a iridescent flame,
That will never burn out
In the palm of my bare hands,
Feeling the scorching warmth of the conflagrant sun
I sense eternal life inside an efflorescent flower
And raging spirits breaking free in the Garden of Eden
This soul, this flower
Will bloom into freedom
For each speckle is a memory
Remembered by a melting heart
Freedom will ignite
When one flare is ablaze
And hope is visible
