I wish you could see me for what my friends see
I wish you liked brunettes
I wish your smile didn't melt my heart
I wish your hugs didn't steal my breath
I wish I hadn't made a fool of myself
I wish you would at least talk to me
I wish I wasn't unimportant to you
I wish I could be free
I wish you would get out of my head
I wish I didn't know we would never work out
I wish I could believe myself
I wish I didn't have to wonder what you are doing now
But most of all I wish
That I wouldn't wish for a chance
Because deep inside of me
I know I'm worth more than that
