Fighting in Fright

Flashback to the memory
of the horrible things you did to me.
You said you were kidding, just messing is all.
Though you made me crash, you made me fall.
You said you loved me, you said you weren't lying.
A year and a half later you quit trying.
The last day you threw me on the bed.
I think I would have rather been dead.
I pushed you off, with a powerful fight.
I stood up for myself and all other girls that night.
I screamed out loud of horror and fright.
I forced you on the floor, your grip was so tight.
You said, "I got you now baby, it's going down."
You said later, "Just messing, just kidding around."
But that was not the first try.
Now these flashbacks haunt me and make me cry.
You tried to take my virginity.
Rape isn't imaginary.
It happens to girls that think its yucky.
how did I get so lucky?
I barely made it, barely made it through.
So here's my story, I tell to you.
Although it took me a while to fight,
Nothing happened on that horrifying night.
I made it through, and so can you.
Just stand up for yourself, be honest and true.
Let no one overpower your dignity.
Fight for yourself, your virginity.
Well now he's gone and I am happy.
I will never again let anyone treat me crappy.
I was strong, you can be, too.
I have faith and believe in you.
