Too Much
I think too much;

 I've spent all my birthdays and Christmases
 first days of school's and field trips
 school nights and weekends
 thinking about everyone else
 and wondering what they thought of me.

 And isn't it sad
 that I'm spending my teenage years
 typing away in the ugliest font
 and willing myself not to cry.

 And how I wish that I could lie down for a bit
 and turn off my own mind
 or step out of my own skin

 Or maybe I'm doing too much
 of this thing called living
 and maybe I ought
 to take a break.
