Starting with red and ending with violet
Violent actions spewed from fountains of hate
Discriminate all you want, but it is love that prevails
The man above does not look down in disapproval
All he wants is for there to be peace for his creations
Believe what you want, but love is love
I cannot explain the color blue, the beauty of you,
The emotion of the sun, or the laughter of a child
I cannot explain it, so I cannot define it
A definition does not exist, so why do we give it limits?
Limits obstruct the yellow rays of wonder, the passion of
motivation, and the purpose of action.
Factions in society create these limits, but
I promote a stand for us to tear down the mahogany bricks
That block out love.
The bricks that stand tall to keep in old values.
Virtues and laws are not one in the same.
Blame who you will, but the wind is blowing
And we are all standing still, unaltered
What’s the use in fighting what is natural when all it brings
Are tears, suicides, genocides, and compromise.
Cover your eyes, or return to a 1950’s sitcom
Aired only in black and white
Red through violet, this world is a rainbow and it’s filled with color
Blue with blue and pink with pink, we cannot tell them how to think
We are afraid of the future, so we try to digress
The world spins madly on and we try to place blame
No one on the planet should feel that type of shame
It’s the boys that play with Barbies and the girls with GI Joe
Some old men in the back of the church don’t like it
So they must pretend to hate all that they know?
Would you look at me differently if I liked vanilla instead of chocolate?
Or if I liked the color orange more than the color purple?
Saviors do not care about these types of preferences, so save your energy
The wind is blowing, the world is spinning, and colors of the rainbow are forming before our eyes
So you can go back to the days of horse and carriage
Or you can open your eyes and accept gay marriage.
