Discontent clouds my vision and the rain blurs the lines;

Yet I can’t seem to figure out why.



It’s been growing now for a while,

This heavy heart and this fake smile.



I don’t know how much longer it’ll last-

Wishing I could put this in the past.



As the bottle empties and the warmth surrounds,

I like the way the silence sounds.
