two rivals, rage filled eyes
never leaving the eternal prize
all the pride of their sports teams- of their politics- of their views
and one has proven to be quite the muse
of the other, for they really do not hate
over conflicting views they may debate
but they do see each other as human beings
and that is where she's been fleeing
from a love she fell into hard
struck her heart like a glass shard
but into a new love she fell
the other most likely can tell
and though he'll never feel the same
his presence makes her glad she came
