For Dakota
For Dakota
Time has flown away,
Just like you did,
You received your invitation and you packed your bags
And you went with Him.
But I didn’t get to say goodbye
Time has flown away
I thought with time, it would be easier,
But it’s not
I try to stay positive and remember
Remember all the good memories,
Your smile
But it’s hard.
I miss you every day, Dakota
I know I am not the only one
You touched so many lives
But God decided you needed to be with Him.
Goodbye, my dear friend,
Those words are bitter in my mouth to say,
In my brain to think,
And my heart to believe
But one day, I will see you again.
