America
supposedly brave and free
will simply not let us be
America
supposedly strong and just
will not give us our right we so dearly need
America
supposedly perfect and open
cannot, maybe will not
accept its people for who they are

This poem, if not already inferred was about the injustices that america has put on the LGTB community. They have refused us rights, that in my opinion were never theirs to take away.
