Feeding the Sheep
When I was little
 We walked to the meadow.
You told me to hold out my hand.
 Placed wheat in it.
I reached out to feed the sheep.
 It was frightening at first
But they nibbled and I giggled.
 “Baa… baa,” they thanked me.
That was the day my love for animals grew.
You showed me a whole different world.
That was my favorite place to visit growing up.
 When I am older,
I want to take my children to feed the sheep.
I want to show them what you showed me.
