Like a Boat
I see you looking at me.
Other days you quickly look away
When our eyes meet.
You’ve been gone for so long.
You’re like a boat that sets sail for the sea
But returns when its voyage is over.
I finally tell myself that it’s time to move on.
It’s time to let go.
There is no going back in time.
It’s been so long since we last saw each other.
You appear once again
Out of the blue.
I don’t know where I stand with you
Or what I mean to you.
But the one thing I do know
Is that I want to be with you.
